Fathom Books seeks longbook submissions in experimental poetry, flash fiction, speculation, Other. $15 fee. This is not a contest,
but an opportunity to get your strange work in front of the editor. The submission fee includes your choice of either of Fathom's 2016 shortbooks: Laura Goode's Become a Name
or Owen Vince's THE ADRIFT OF SAMUS ARAN.
(Certain international writers may need to pay an additional shipping fee.)
Manuscripts are considered for paperback publication in 2018 and 2020 (we publish biennially).
Every effort will be made by the editor to reply with a few lines in way of reflection on your work.
—75 pages maximum for poetry, 115 all other genres, front- and backmatter excluded (if you've written something longer and extraordinary, trim your manuscript to fit guidelines and leave a note for us); minimum page count is 45;
—Consider submitting in .pdf to assure your formatting survives the Interwebs;
—Manuscripts must be written primarily in English, with international submissions in English enthusiastically accepted;
—Simultaneous submissions are accepted, with fees for each sub;
—All writing must be your original creative work;
—Both your time and income are precious; Fathom / SHARKPACK's only interest is in experimental / avant-garde / Neo-Gnostic writing. Please review current work at Fathom
